Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the UnCircuit website and the game-based assessments we operate (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
What UnCircuit does
UnCircuit builds custom game-based assessments for hiring companies. Candidates play a short scenario, and we report how they approached it to the company that requested the assessment. Commercial engagements with hiring companies are governed by the agreement we sign with each company; these Terms cover general use of the website and assessments.
Using the Services
- You must be of working age in your jurisdiction to take an assessment.
- Provide accurate information when booking a demo or contacting us.
- Complete assessments yourself, without unauthorized assistance, automation, or impersonation.
- Do not attempt to copy, disassemble, probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Services, or use them to build a competing product.
- Do not use the Services in violation of any applicable law.
Assessments and hiring decisions
Our assessments are one input into a hiring process. UnCircuit does not make hiring decisions. Each hiring company decides how to use assessment results and is responsible for its own hiring process, including compliance with employment and anti-discrimination laws in its jurisdiction.
Intellectual property
The Services, including our games, software, designs, text, and branding, are owned by UnCircuit or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services as intended. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you agree we may use them without obligation to you.
Third-party services
The Services link to or rely on third-party services, such as Cal.com for scheduling. Those services have their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that assessment results will guarantee any particular hiring outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UnCircuit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars.
Termination
We may suspend or end access to the Services at any time if these Terms are violated or to protect the Services and their users.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use of the Services after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
