Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 12, 2026
UnCircuit ("UnCircuit," "we," "us") builds game-based assessments that help companies evaluate job candidates. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the assessments we operate on behalf of hiring companies.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you book a demo, call us, or otherwise contact us, we receive the details you share, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, and role.
- Candidate assessment data. When you take an assessment as a job candidate, we collect the information needed to run it and to report results to the hiring company that invited you: your responses and in-game interactions, timing and completion data, and the scores and observations the assessment produces.
- Technical data. Like most websites, we receive standard technical information such as browser type, device information, IP address, and pages visited, used to operate and secure the site.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve our website and assessments.
- To generate assessment results and reports for the hiring company that asked you to take an assessment.
- To respond to inquiries and schedule and conduct demos.
- To protect the security and integrity of our services.
- To comply with legal obligations.
A note for candidates
When you complete an assessment at the request of an employer, that employer decides how assessment results are used in its hiring process and is responsible for its own compliance with employment laws. We process your assessment data on the employer's behalf and share your results with that employer. Questions about a specific hiring decision should go to the employer; questions about our data handling can come to us directly.
How we share information
- With the hiring company that invited you to an assessment, as described above.
- With service providers that help us run the service, such as website hosting and scheduling (we use Cal.com to book demos; their handling of booking data is described in their own privacy policy).
- For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, to meet our obligations to hiring companies, and to comply with legal requirements, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below. If we hold your data on behalf of an employer, we may refer your request to them or ask them to authorize it.
Children
Our services are intended for working-age adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
